B.S. Elementary Education Concentrations

English as a New Language / English as a Second Language (ENL/ESL) Prepare to influence the success of English as a New Language/English as a Second Language (ENL/ESL) learners in grades K-5.

Language Arts Focus on curriculum creation and implementation in the areas of English/Language Arts. Prepare K-5 students for reading, writing, listening, speaking, and media literacy.

Mathematics Concentrate on promoting the success of K-5 students in mathematics, including number sense, computation, algebraic thinking, geometry, measurement, data analysis and statistics.

Science Engage the interest of K-5 learners in physical science, Earth and space science, life science, engineering, and computer science.

Social Studies Encourage the interest of K-5 students in history, geography, civics and government, and economics.

Special Education Earn this dual certification in Elementary (K-5) Education and Special Education (P-12) and prepare learners to be successful in both general education and special education classrooms.
